WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THIS TRIP

COMMON QUESTIONS

Cancellations for our fly-out trips must be made at least 10 days before check-in. In those cases we will issue a full refund minus our $30 booking fee. For inclement weather or mechanical problems, we will happily offer a full refund if there are no available dates/times to make up your trip.

While we can’t guarantee sightings of any kind, many of our guests get the opportunity to see different types of birds, moose, wolves, otters, beavers, seals. As for bears, you can expect brown bears, but you might also see black bears – so be on the lookout!
You don’t need much – just be sure you check the weather and come prepared for anything. We recommend bringing a rain jacket even if it looks like it’s going to be good weather – you never know in Alaska! And most importantly, don’t forget your camera!

We do all of our bear watching from a boat just a few feet offshore – this is the safest way to view the bears and is less disruptive to the wildlife.

Watching from the boat gives visitors a unique view of Alaskan bears in the wild. Plus, shooting photos offers you the great backdrop of the mountains, glaciers, and forests of the West side of the Cook Inlet! Only a few fly-out bear viewing operators on the Kenai Peninsula offer boat-based viewing, and our visitors love it!

ALL-DAY BROOKS FALLS FLY-OUT TRIP

Experience an unforgettable Alaskan adventure! A float plane trip to Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park is a bucket list experience for any wildlife enthusiast. It’s an all-day trip that you’ll never forget!

Summer 2024 Alaska Bear Viewing Trips are Filling Up Fast!

Arrive at Kenai Float Plane Pond  1.6hr Flight Across the Cook Inlet  Bear Viewing at Brooks Falls → 1.6hr Flight back to Kenai

Trip Details

The 7-8 hour adventure begins with a one-way flight leaving from the Kenai Airport float pond (Address: 400 Floatplane Rd. Kenai, AK). During your approximately 1.6hr flight, we’ll cross the Cook Inlet and view active volcanoes and magnificent glaciers.

Our float plane can seat up to 6 adults, 7 if there’s small children.

The highlight of this trip is the opportunity to witness brown bears in their natural habitat. Brook’s Falls is one of the best locations in the world to observe these magnificent creatures in action. During the summer months, the bears gather at the falls to feed on the salmon that swim upstream. It’s a thrilling sight to watch the bears as they catch the fish with their powerful jaws and claws.

To make the most of the trip, it is recommended to bring warm clothing, rain gear, and sturdy shoes. It is also a good idea to bring a camera and binoculars to capture the stunning views and the wildlife. Visitors should be prepared for the possibility of encountering bears and should follow all safety guidelines provided by the park rangers.

In addition to the bears, the park is also home to other wildlife, such as eagles, otters, moose and wolves. The scenery is breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.
